Na die voltooiing van hierdie module moet die student in staat wees om

• kennis te bevat ten opsigte van die statistiese siklus se basiese beginsels en data se voorstelling en die basiese gebruik daarvan; 
• rekenaarprogramme te gebruik om te kommunikeer oor data op grafieke en tabelle en oor navorsingsresultate;
• bewustheid rondom wiskundige intelligensie te kweek deur finansiële dokumente te analiseer en besluite in terme van begroting, ens. te neem;
• koöperatiewe leer te ervaar deur in groepe te werk om 'n navorsingsprojek te doen; en 
• inligting oor die resultate van 'n navorsingsprobleem oor te dra deur middel van kommunikasie.

After completion of this module, students should be able to

• know the basic principles of the statistical cycle and the representation and use of basic data;
• use computer programs to communicate data on graphs, tables and results of research;
• build awareness of mathematical intelligence by analysing financial documents and taking decisions in budgeting etc.;
• experience cooperative learning through working in groups to do a research project; and
• convey information on the results of a research problem by using communication.
