Ná die voltooiing van hierdie module sal studente

  • oor ‘n geïntegreerde kennis beskik van die sentrale areas; ‘n gespesialiseerde begrip toon van die sleutelterme, konsepte, feite, beginsels, reëls en teorieë van die fisiologie en voortplanting van diere en hierdie kennis kan toepas, evalueer en weergee in assessering tydens kontaksessies, semestertoetse en die eksamen;
  • ‘n reeks van ondersoekmetodes tydens dierefisiologie-praktikums kan toepas en dit ook aanwend om probleme met betrekking tot hierdie velde op te los en hierdie kennis skriftelik en mondelings tydens assessering van die praktikums te kan weergee ;
  • geskikte prosesse kan ontwikkel om inligting te versamel oor dierefisiologie; oor die vermoë beskik om inligtingsbronne onafhanklik te bekragtig en die inligting daarin te evalueer en bestuur; en hul eie idees en opinies kan ontwikkel en in goed geformuleerde argumente kommunikeer d.m.v. geskikte akademiese besprekings en verslae;
  • oor die vermoë beskik om hul eie leerbehoeftes op ‘n selfgerigte wyse te identifiseer, te evalueer en aan te spreek; en gesamentlike leerprosesse kan fasiliteer; en
  • vanuit ‘n reformatoriese perspektief kan motiveer dat God die mens vrugbaar maak om die aarde te vul, te kultiveer, Hom te verheerlik en diensbaarheid aan naastes te betoon en hierdie kennis mondelings en skriftelik kan weergee.

After completing this module, students should be able to 

  • have an integrated knowledge of the central areas; and show a specialised understanding of key terms, concepts, facts, principles, rules and theories of the physiology and reproduction of animals and apply, evaluate and reproduce this knowledge in assessment during contact sessions, semester tests, and exams;
  • apply a range of research methods during practical lessons on animal physiology and employ them in order to solve problems regarding these areas and be able to reproduce this knowledge in writing and orally during practical classes’ assessments;
  • develop suitable processes to gather information regarding animal physiology; have the ability to substantiate the sources of information independently; evaluate and manage the information; and develop their own ideas and opinions and communicate them in well-formulated arguments by means of suitable academic discussions and reports;
  • have the ability to identify, evaluate and address their own learning needs in a self-directed manner, and facilitate joint learning processes; and
  • motivate, from a reformed perspective, that God makes humans fertile to fill and cultivate the earth, glorify Him and show servitude to fellow human beings and be able to reproduce this knowledge orally and in writing.
