Ná die voltooiing van hierdie module sal studente

• oor die vermoë beskik om inligting vanuit ‘n verskeidenheid bronne in te samel en begrip te demonstreer oor die integrasie en verwysing van hierdie bronne in akademiese tekste;
• die elemente waaruit ‘n akademiese teks bestaan, kan herken, benoem en toepas;
• verskillende verbindingstegnieke (tekseenhede) kan onderskei en toepas; en
• ‘n akademiese skryfstyl kan herken en toepas.

At the end of this module, students should be able to

• have the ability to gather information from a variety of sources and demonstrate an understanding regarding the integration and referencing of these sources in academic texts;
• recognise, name and apply elements that an academic text consists of;
• distinguish and apply a variety of connection techniques; and
• recognise and apply an academic writing style.
