Na die voltooiing van die module sal die student

  • ‘n duidelike begrip toon van Rekeningkunde se aard en funksies, die vermoë hê om die doel van Rekeningkundeonderrig in die Senior Fase te verduidelik en ‘n begrip toon van die rekeningkundige siklus en die rekeningkundige vergelyking;
  • die beginsels en elemente van rekeningkundige sisteme kan definieer, oorweeg en analiseer en die standaardprosesse en –metodes, wat gebruik word in die rekeningkundige praktyke van ‘n eenmansaak en die opstel van begrotings, kan selekteer, toepas en implementeer en dit in assessering weergee ;
  • oor die vermoë beskik om idees, rekeningkundige oplossings en bevindinge verbaal en geskrewe weer te gee deur van samehangende taalgebruik en die korrekte rekeningkundige formaat gebruik te maak, met ‘n inbegrip van kopiereg en  plagiaat;
  • oor die vermoë beskik om as deel van ‘n groep op te tree, ‘n beduidende bydrae lewer in die oplossing van rekeningkundige probleme en die uitvoer van take en gesamentlike verantwoordelikheid aanvaar vir die uitkomste deur die groep gelewer; en
  • optrede toon wat getuig van aanvaarbare etiese en professionele gedrag en wat Aros se reformatoriese waardes relevant tot die onderwysprofessie en die veld van Rekeningkunde reflekteer.

After completion of this module, the student should be able to 

  • display a clear understanding of the nature and functions of Accountancy; possess the ability to explain the purpose of the instruction of Accountancy in the Senior Phase, and display understanding for the accountancy cycle and the accountancy equation;
  • define, consider and analyse the principles and elements of accountancy systems and be able to review the standard processes and methods applied in the accountancy procedures of a one-person business; also apply accountancy procedures in the compilation of a one-person business budget, and also be able to review it during assessment;
  • have the ability to reproduce ideas, accountancy solutions and findings verbally and in writing using coherent language usage, while applying the correct accountancy format including copyright and plagiarism;
  • have the ability to act as part of a group, to deliver a meaningful contribution in the solution of accountancy problems, to execute tasks and to accept joint responsibility for the outcomes delivered by the group; and
  • display actions of acceptable ethical and professional behaviour and which also reflect the Aros reformatory values relevant to the teaching profession and the field of Accountancy.
