Ná die voltooiing van hierdie module sal studente

  • oor ʼn geïntegreerde kennis beskik van die sentrale areas;  ʼn gespesialiseerde begrip kan toon van die sleutelterme, konsepte, feite, reëls, beginsels en teorieë in Lewenswetenskappe as vak; hierdie kundigheid kan toepas en evalueer en dit in assesseringsgeleenthede tydens kontaksessies, semestertoetse en die eksamen kan weergee;
  • ʼn begrip toon van ʼn reeks ondersoekmetodes in Lewenswetenskappe-praktikums; en oor die vermoë beskik om ʼn reeks metodes toe te pas om probleme op te los of veranderinge in Lewenswetenskappe-praktikums in te lei en dit dan tydens formele en informele assesserings toe te pas;
  • oor die vermoë beskik om verskillende inligtingsbronne te evalueer en inligting oor oriënterings tot Lewenswetenskappe-praktikums en -leer te selekteer; en goed ontwikkelde prosesse van ontleding, sintese en evaluering op die inligting kan toepas, waarna hulle dit op ʼn betroubare en samehangende wyse kan kommunikeer en dit skriftelik en mondelings in ʼn aanbieding en skriftelike verslag kan debatteer;
  • oor die vermoë beskik om die beginsels van Lewenswetenskappe-praktikums toe te pas om sodoende praktyke te ontwerp en aan te bied; hul eie leerbehoeftes op ʼn selfgerigte wyse kan identifiseer; en wedersydse leerprosesse kan fasiliteer deur hul eie leerbehoeftes aan te spreek.
  • oor die vermoë beskik om hulself eties en professioneel te gedra deur ʼn Gereformeerde perspektief in die benadering tot Lewenswetenskappe-praktikums toe te pas; volle verantwoordelikheid kan aanvaar vir hul eie werk, besluitneming en die gebruik van hulpbronne; en beperkte verantwoordelikheid kan aanvaar vir ander se besluite en aksies in diverse kontekste en dit in formele en informele assessering kan demonstreer.

After completing this module, students should be able to

  • possess integrated knowledge of the central areas; have a specialised understanding of the key terminology, concepts, facts, rules, principles, and theories in the subject Life Sciences; and apply and evaluate these skills and reproduce it in assessment during contact sessions, semester tests, and in the examination.
  • display an understanding of a series of investigative methods in Life Sciences practical classes; and apply a series of methods to solve problems or introduce changes in Life Sciences practical classes and apply them during formal and informal assessments;
  • have the ability to evaluate various information resources and extract information regarding orientations towards Life Sciences practical classes and tuition; apply well-developed analysis, synthesis, and evaluation processes regarding the information, after which they will communicate it in a trustworthy and integrated manner and debate it in writing and orally in a written report;
  • have the ability to apply the principles of Life Sciences in practical classes and thus develop and present practices; identify their own learning needs in a self-directed manner; and evaluate and address their own learning needs to facilitate reciprocal learning processes; and
  • have the ability to behave themselves ethically and professionally by applying a Reformed perspective practically in their approach towards Life Sciences; accept full responsibility for their own work, decision making and the usage of resources; accept limited responsibility for the decisions and actions of others in diverse contexts and to demonstrate it in formal and informal assessing.
