Ná die voltooiing van hierdie module sal studente
- oor geïntegreerde basiese kennis beskik wat hulle bemagtig om ʼn uitvoerige kennis van die kind se identiteit en morele ontwikkeling te demonstreer;
- oor geïntegreerde kennis en geletterdheid beskik waarvolgens hulle tussen normale en abnormale gedrag kan onderskei; en metodes en werkprosesse kan ontwikkel en toepas om sodoende afwykende gedrag, soos AGHS, te hanteer;
- oor geïntegreerde kennis en geletterdheid beskik waarvolgens hulle toepaslike metodes en werkprosesse kan ontwikkel om angs en emosionele versteuring in die klaskamer te hanteer;
- oor kennis beskik ten opsigte van etiese en professionele gedrag; en begrip demonstreer ten opsigte van besluite en aksies se etiese implikasies met betrekking tot kindermishandeling en die uitwerking van die sosiale omgewing en media op die kind; en
- oor geïntegreerde kennis en geletterdheid beskik om ʼn begrip van outisme en verstandelike gestremdheid te demonstreer en hiermee gepaardgaande ook gepaste metodes en werkprosesse vir die klaskamer te beplan.

After completing this module, students should be able to
- have integrated basic knowledge that empowers them to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the child’s identity and moral development;
- have integrated knowledge and literacy according to which they will be able to distinguish between normal and abnormal behaviour; and develop and apply methods and work processes in order to handle deviant behaviour such as ADHD;
- have integrated knowledge and literacy according to which they can develop appropriate methods and work processes to handle anxiety and emotional disturbance in the classroom;
- possess knowledge on ethical and professional behaviour; and demonstrate knowledge regarding the ethical implications of decisions and actions with reference to child abuse and how the social environment and media affect the child; and
- have integrated knowledge and literacy to demonstrate an understanding of autism and mental disability and plan appropriate methods and work processes for the classroom.
