After completing this module, students should be able to

• demonstrate an understanding of the strategies and sub-skills associated with grade four to grade six English First Additional Language listening;
• demonstrate an understanding of the strategies and sub-skills associated with grade four to grade six English First Additional Language speaking;
• identify and differentiate methods of naturally and enjoyably integrating the teaching of an additional language to cater for a variety of learners and circumstances;
• create and develop strategies to plan and assess activities to teach different aspects of an additional language; and
• facilitate a lesson based on the four essential skills by incorporating the methods suggested.
