                     Ná die voltooiing van hierdie module sal studente 
- rekord kan hou van hul ontwikkeling om in Wiskundige Geletterdheidsonderwysers te ontluik;
 
- insig hê in hul eie identiteit en die rol wat emosie asook emosionele intelligensie in die Wiskundige Geletterdheidsklaskamer speel;
 
- oor kennis beskik van die wyse waarop verskillende lande lewenswerklike probleemoplossing in Wiskundekursusse inkorporeer;
 
- oor kennis beskik van departementele dokumente, waar dit verkry kan word en hoe dit gebruik kan word;
 
- kan erken en verduidelik waarom die toepassing van basiese wiskundige vaardighede in alledaagse probleme belangrik is en basiese aktiwiteite kan ontwerp om die belang hiervan te illustreer;
 
- kan analiseer waarom en hoe ’n goeie les in Wiskundige Geletterdheid geleer word; en
 
- ’n les wat op ’n onderwerp in die kurrikulum gebaseer is kreatief kan beplan en ’n inleiding daaroor kan aanbied.

                     After completing this module, students should be able to 
- keep a record of their growth towards becoming Mathematical Literacy teachers;
 
- have insight into their own identity and the role emotions as well as  emotional intelligence plays in the Mathematical Literacy classroom;
 
- have knowledge of how different countries incorporate real-life problem-solving in Mathematics courses;
 
- have knowledge of departmental documents, where to find them and how to use them;
 
- recognise and explain the importance of applying basic mathematical skills in everyday problems and design basic activities to illustrate this;
 
- analyse why and how a good lesson is taught in Mathematical Literacy; and
 
- creatively plan a lesson based on a topic from the curriculum and present an introduction to it.
