Ná die voltooiing van hierdie module sal studente
- oor ’n kennisbasis beskik waaruit begrip rakende die implementering en vereistes van die nasionale skoolkurrikulum getoon kan word, met verwysing na huistaalonderrig;
- oor ’n teoretiese geletterdheid beskik wat as basis gebruik kan word om begrip van die implementering van relevante teorieë te toon, met verwysing na huistaalonderrig;
- die verwerking en bestuur van gepaste onderrigvaardighede kan assesseer en vergelyk in die veld van huistaalonderrig; en
- metodes en benaderings kan gebruik om vaardighede ten toon te stel tydens die samestelling, toepassing en evaluasie van tekstipes ten einde leerders se taalvaardighede geïntegreerd te laat ontwikkel.

After completing this module, students should be able to
- possess a knowledge base from which understanding can be demonstrated regarding the implementation and requirements of the national school curriculum, with reference to home language instruction;
- possess a theoretical literacy that can be used as a foundation to show an understanding of the implementation of relevant theories, with reference to home language instruction;
- assess and compare the processing and management of appropriate instruction skills in the field of home language instruction; and
- use methods and approaches to demonstrate skills during the compilation, application, and evaluation of text types in order to facilitate the integrated development of learners’ language skills.
