Ná die voltooiing van hierdie module sal studente

• oor ’n kennisbasis beskik op grond waarvan hulle besef hoe belangrik die ontwikkeling van kreatiwiteit tydens die vormingsjare is;
• etiese en professionele praktyk kan toepas op grond waarvan hulle in staat is om kreatiwiteit oor die kurrikulum heen aan te moedig;
• die ontwikkelingstadia van kinderkuns kan ontleed d.m.v. die nodige agtergrondskennis;
• kan verduidelik hoe leer bestuur moet word om sodoende op grond hiervan visuele kuns in die daaglikse graad R-program te kan insluit;
• metodes en werkswyses kan demonstreer om leerders aan te moedig om ‘n groot verskeidenheid materiale te ontdek deur gepaste aktiwiteite aan te bied; en
• kennisgeletterdheid kan demonstreer op grond waarvan hulle in staat is om die verband tussen kuns en ontluikende skryf te kan waarneem en toepas.

After completing this module, students should be able to

• have a knowledge base on the basis of which they realise the importance of the development of creativity during the early years;
• develop ethical and professional practice on the basis of which they can encourage creativity across the curriculum;
• analyse the developmental stages of children’s art by means of the necessary background knowledge;
• explain the management of learning in order to be able to include visual arts in the day-to-day grade R programme;
• demonstrate methods and procedures to encourage learners to discover a great variety of materials by presenting suitable activities; and
• demonstrate knowledge literacy on the basis of which they can observe and apply the relationship between art and emergent writing.
