Ná die voltooiing van hierdie module sal studente
- krities betrokke kan raak by die historiese oorsprong van kurrikulum as veld en landskap wat voortdurend verander;
- die vermoë toon om verskeie inligtingsbronne in kurrikulumstudies as ’n sosiaal-wetenskaplike navorsingsarea te ondersoek;
- die vermoë toon om doeltreffend te funksioneer binne die konteks van kurrikulumverandering wat in Suid-Afrika plaasvind;
- die verhouding tussen onderrig, leer, assessering, tegnologie en die kurrikulum op ’n kritiese wyse kan analiseer; en
- krities betrokke kan raak by kurrikulumevaluasie as ’n proses wat in kurrikulumontwerp veranker is.

After completing this module, students should be able to
- critically engage with the historical origins of curriculum as a field and as an ever-changing landscape;
- demonstrate the ability to interrogate multiple sources of knowledge in Curriculum Studies as a social scientific research area;
- demonstrate the ability to operate effectively within the context of curriculum transformation in South Africa;
- critically analyse the relationship between teaching, learning, assessment, technology and curriculum; and
- critically engage with curriculum evaluation as a process embedded in curriculum making.
