Ná die voltooiing van hierdie module sal studente
- ’n duidelike begrip kan demonstreer van wiskundige konsepte, beginsels en reëls om wiskundige probleme akkuraat en korrek op te los;
- gepaste standaardmetodes kan gebruik en ook hul eie metodes identifiseer om probleme op te los deur Polya’s se probleemoplossingsmodel te implementeer;
- probleme kan bekendstel, maniere vind om hierdie probleme op te los en probleme kan interpreteer wat op verskillende maniere gegee word; en
- verantwoordelikheid neem vir eie leer in ’n gestruktureerde leerproses, eie prestasie evalueer, toepaslike aksie neem waar dit sou nodig wees en bewustheid daarvan toon dat wiskunde in die natuur sigbaar is, soos God dit geskep het.

After completing this module, students should be able to
- demonstrate a clear understanding of basic mathematical concepts, principles, and rules to solve mathematical problems accurately and correctly;
- use appropriate standard methods and identify their own methods to solve problems by implementing Polya’s problem-solving model;
- introduce problems in various ways, find ways to solve these problems, and interpret problems that are given in different ways; and
- take responsibility for own learning in a structured learning process, evaluate own performance, take relevant action where necessary, and show awareness of mathematics’s visibility in nature, as God created it.
