WSKA121 module-uitkomste

Jaar Module-uitkomste Engelse uitkomste
2025

  • gedetailleerde kennis en ‘n duidelike begrip bevat van die aard en eienskappe van tweedimensionele figure en driedimensionele  vorme; kan begryp hoe hierdie kennis verband hou met trigonometrie; meetkundige beredenering kan uitvoer deur dan ook tussen induktiewe en deduktiewe metodes te kan onderskei; en oor die vermoë beskik om by die gebruik van induktiewe metodes ook van tegnologiese en wiskundige hulpmiddels gebruik te maak;
  • die vermoë toon om toepaslike formules, reëls, beginsels en metodes te kies en in die oplossing van probleme in meetkunde en trigonometrie te kan gebruik;
  • die vermoë toon om meetkunde- en trigonometriese probleme in onbekende kontekste te identifiseer, te ontleed en op te los, gegrond op toepaslike prosedures en metodes;

After completing this module, students should be able to

  • possess detailed knowledge and a clear understanding of the nature and characteristics of two-dimensional figures and three-dimensional shapes; understand how this knowledge relates to trigonometry; execute geometrical reasoning by also being able to distinguish between inductive and deductive methods; and have the ability to use technological and mathematical aids when using inductive methods;
  • show the ability to choose suitable formulas, rules, principles, and methods and be able to use them in the solution of problems in geometry and trigonometry;
  • show the ability to identify, analyse, and solve geometric and trigonometric problems in unknown contexts, based on applicable procedures and methods;
  • show the ability to use relevant mathematical terminology, symbols, and notation in geometry and trigonometry in order to communicate information effectively, coherently, and reliably, in verbal or written format by using suitable technology for a particular context individually or as part of a group; and
  • have the mindset and ability to take responsibility for own learning by monitoring the progress of own learning; and evaluate own performance against given criteria, and, if necessary, identify own learning deficiencies to implement suitable learning strategies and resources to achieve this module's outcomes and thus also contribute to the promotion of others' learning.
