Ná die voltooiing van hierdie module sal studente
- die inhoud van die kurrikulum per jaar kan analiseer en evalueer volgens die graad en tyd van die jaar wat die onderwerpe aangebied word om sodoende lesplanne te kan ontwikkel;
- oor die vermoë beskik om Wiskundige Geletterdheid as vak - waar die fokus op algemene wiskundige vaardighede gerig is - anders as Wiskunde - waar die fokus op spesifieke wiskundige bevoegdhede gerig is - aan te bied;
- vrae se taksonomievlakke vir Wiskundige Geletterdheid kan analiseer en herken om dit dan op vrae toe te pas;
- die formaat waaraan vraestelle moet voldoen, kan opsom om dit sodoende tydens die opstel van Wiskundige Geletterdheidsvraestelle prakties te kan uitvoer; en
- oor die vermoë beskik om leerders vir ‘n Wiskundige Geletterdheidseksamen voor te berei.

After completing this module, students should be able to
- analyse and evaluate the content of the curriculum per year according to the grade and time of year in which the topics are presented in order to develop lesson plans;
- have the ability to present Mathematical Literacy - where the focus is on general mathematical skills - unlike Mathematic, where the focus is on specific mathematical competencies;
- analyse and recognise the taxonomy levels of questions for Mathematical Literacy to apply these to questions;
- summarise the format that question papers must comply with in order to be able to implement this in practice during the preparation of Mathematical Literacy papers; and
- have the ability to prepare learners for a Mathematical Literacy exam.
