Ná die voltooiing van hierdie module sal studente
- oor ʼn kennisbasis beskik met betrekking tot die waarde, omvang en doel van uitvoerende kunste (musiek, dans en drama) in die leerprogram, tesame met fundamentele kennis van musiek (musiekelemente en teoretiese inhoud);
- toepaslike metodes, werkswyses en tegnieke in die onderrig van uitvoerende kunste kan evalueer;
- etiese praktyk kan demonstreer op grond van hul vermoë om verantwoordelikheid te neem vir hul kunstalente vanuit ʼn Christelike oogpunt;
- inligting uit verskillende bronne kan analiseer, sintetiseer en evalueer om insig te bekom oor die onderrig van uitvoerende kunste, die ontwikkeling van ‘n musiekomgewing in die leerprogram en musiekkennis op ’n basiese vlak (musiekelemente en teoretiese inhoud);
- die vermoë demonstreer om ingewikkelde inligting tydens die onderrig van uitvoerende kunste aan te bied en dit betroubaar en samehangend by wyse van terugvoer weer te gee;
- eie prestasie kan beplan en evalueer teen gegewe kriteria met betrekking tot musiekelemente, die verskillende musiekaktiwiteite en ʼn musiekomgewing binne ’n gestruktureerde leerproses; en
- die vermoë demonstreer om basiese kennis (musiekelemente en teoretiese inhoud), musiekaktiwiteit en ʼn musiekomgewing met behulp van hulpbronne ten toon te stel.

After completing this module, students should be able to
- have a knowledge base regarding the value, scope and purpose of performing arts (music, dance, and drama) in the learning programme, along with a fundamental knowledge of music (music elements and theoretical content);
- evaluate appropriate methods, procedures and techniques in the teaching of performing arts;
- demonstrate ethical practice from a Christian perspective based on their ability to take responsibility for their talents in the arts;
- analyse, synthesise and evaluate information from various sources to gain insight into the teaching of the performing arts, the development of a music environment in the learning programme, and knowledge of music on a basic level;
- demonstrate the ability to present complex information when teaching performing arts and represent this reliably and coherently through feedback;
- plan and evaluate own performance with regard to musical elements, the different music activities and a music environment in a structured learning process; and
- demonstrate the ability to exhibit a working knowledge (musical elements and theoretical content), music activities and a music environment by employing resources.
