After completing this module, students should be able to

• demonstrate an informed knowledge of selected core areas and designated fields and have the ability to apply grammar terms, concepts, facts, general principles, rules, established conventions, and theories appropriately;
• demonstrate the technique of writing coherent sentences and paragraphs;
• understand the importance of writing and the correct use of written paragraphs as a tool for developing efficient writing skills;
• master the technique of synthesising two or more texts and develop their own writing from this process; use a resource or multiple resources, which support original thought; and have the ability to communicate more effectively in English;
• demonstrate an understanding of the strategies and subskills associated with grade four to grade six English FAL Language Structures and Conventions; and
• formulate and communicate an appreciation for languages' existence and the diversity thereof through the power of the ultimate Creator, our almighty God.
